Sebastian Gürtler

Much of Sebastian's childhood was spent between the vibrant cities of Taichung, Taiwan and Leipzig, Germany. After discovering their love for organic chemistry in school, they moved to Zürich to complete a Bachelor's degree at ETH Zurich. In the following industrial internship involving advanced materials processing in Uzwil, their focus started shifting more towards functional materials and inorganic chemistry. This proved to be a great foundation for beginning a Master's programme, first with a project involving chemical unclonable functions, and now finally with the REEcover team, uniting much of their interests and experience for a more ambitious project. Outside of the lab, Sebastian loves poetry and drawing, as well as tinkering with code and the occasional hike in gloomy weather.
